John Miceli called me back right away and showed up when he said he would on the same day with a crew ready to remove the ice damming and packed snow on my roof’s lower shingles and gutters. That alone means a lot to me because a number of other people that I called or tried to call did not respond or had a filled voicemail box.
The work performed was efficient and thorough. It involved chipping ice masses with a wide blade hammer drill and using snow rakes. I did not want to go on the roof higher side myself because it is a 30 foot drop. He charged $700 to do the front and back gutter areas and was done in under two hours.
I would use him again and expect to make contact in the spring regarding installing 2-3 foot stainless or aluminum, like you see in northern New England, on the lower shingle area to avoid the ice build up. The only alternative would be strung electric wires that cost money to run.
We communicated back-and-forth a few times and they were extremely professional. They were able to complete the job the next day since we were having a melting issue into the home.
We are grateful they were able to clear a large portion of the roof so the gutters would be clear. They even cleared the snow that went into the driveway and walkways. All roofing companies are extremely busy with the snowstorm. Please be mindful and courteous when calling. We are extremely grateful and happy with their services and would highly recommend them!

An insurance claim, not sought a roofer. I went on line and did some research as to product, services and average pricing for a home such as mine. When the appraisal came back, he noticed many things that the insurance company had neglected to consider, such as bringing the roof up to current codes, permit fees, etc. He worked tirelessly with them so that I could get the standard of roof required at this time. John instantly seemed like I’d known him for years. He was timely, the work was beautifully done and in quite a timely manner. I cannot say enough good things about the experience I have had.

The roof in the Coventry, RI home needed to be redone. I contacted Miceli Roofing and an estimate was emailed to me within 48 hours. The price was excellent. In March, when there was a decent stretch of weather, the crew did the job in one day. They left the property clean. I was pleased.

I reached that time to replace my roof. I made sure to do plenty of research on pricing for a house this size. I made and took phone calls from different companies and no one seemed trustworthy or in my price range until I went to the RI BBB website and found John Miceli Roofing. I called John and talked to him about the roof/age/layers/etc and could tell he was very knowledgeable and trustworthy already, so I made an appointment for him to look at my house. After seeing the roof, John sent me an estimate which fit perfectly in my budget so I accepted and we agreed on a contract. John then called the day before he wanted to start. His crew came right on time, got right to work and all I can say is WOW! I’ve never seen such a fine working machine as everyone in his crew worked perfectly together. Everyone had their own job to do and they all did their jobs extremely well. When I saw the new roof on my house I was truly speechless with how great it looked.
